He was born October 11, 1944 in Pana, the son of Richard and Helen Paradee Budds. Dick worked for the City of Pana and was an iron worker. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, listening to music, fishing and playing horse shoes. He attended Pana Schools and was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He married Ethel Nagle on January 4, 1969.
