  [S927] Obituary. Katherine Elis Photo1 Katherine Elis, 94, formerly of Dickinson, died Sunday, February 9, 2014 at Bolivia, N.C. Katherine’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m., Friday, July 11, 2014 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Dickinson with Fr. Marvin Klemmer as celebrant. Entombment will follow at the Dickinson Mausoleum. Visitation will be on Thursday, July 10, 2014 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., with the family present, at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson. There will be a rosary at 7 p.m., Thursday with Deacon Ron Keller presiding. Visitation will continue one hour prior to service time at the church. Katherine Boespflug was born September 25, 1919 near New Leipzig to John and Mary Eva (Senn) Boespflug. Katherine married John Elis July 6, 1937. Together they farmed in New England area until 1966 when they moved to Dickinson.. In 2007, Katherine moved to North Carolina. Katherine is survived by three children, Kenneth (Marg), Sunset Beach, N.C., Thomas (Jan), Maple Grove, Minn., Arlene Metzger, Barnegat, N.J., and one sister, Frances Heick, Dickinson. She was preceded in death by her husband, John, one son, Leslie and one infant son.
