In Memory of Stella Weber Dauenhauer February 3, 1917 - January 17, 2011 Obituary Stella Marie Weber Dauenhauer, passed peacefully away at home in her sleep Monday, January 17, 2011 at age 93 years. Beloved wife of the late John Dauenhauer Sr. Mother of the late George Dauenhauer. Daughter of the late Clelie Rodrigue and Gabriel Weber. Sister of the late Robert, Melvin, Alvin and Fremand Weber, Edna Lasagne, Norma Picou and Louise Riche. Mother-in-law of the late Rita Dauenhauer. Survived by sons John Jr. and Edward, five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Also survived by her caretaker Kathy, whom she lovingly referred to as "Whichamacallit". After the death of her son George in 1955, Stella dedicated her life to helping people by becoming a nurse and served Hotel Dieu Hospital until her retirement in 1985. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., Metairie at 11:00 am. Visitation from 9:00 am until time of service. Interment will be at St. Vincent DePaul II Cemetery. Donations in her memory can be made to ANGELS PLACE, 4323 Division St., Ste. 206, Metairie, LA 70002.
