  [S927] Obituary. HERBERT G. CHRISTMAN 1910-2004 BARNESVILLE Herbert G. Christman, 94, of Summerfield, died Friday (Nov. 26, 2004) at Genesis-Good Samaritan Hospital, Zanesville. Mr. Christmas was born Feb. 7, 1910, at Calais, son of the late John and Clara Ackerman Christman. He was a graduate of Batesville High School and was a farmer all of his life. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Gilbert and Lee and an infant brother, Lester; a sister, Esta Burkhart; and an infant son. He leaves his wife, Eleanor Stephen Christman, whom he married Dec. 25, 1937; sons, Loren (Mona) Christman of Charlestown, Ind., and Brian (Judy Lewis) Christman of Zanesville; daughters, Mrs. Vernon (Lila) Kirkbride of Westchester, Lena Christman of Alexandria, Va., and Mrs. Lanny (Carol) Butler of Zanesville; a brother, Howard Christman of Lewisville, three sisters, Helen Starr of Gahanna, Mary Hayes of Quaker City and Cleo Carpenter of Lewisville; eight grandchildren, Kevin (Christy) Christman, Mark (Tonya) Christman, Darin (Treva) Kirkbride, Tana (Amit Gupta) Kirkbride, Kona Kirkbride, Laura Everly, Seth Everly and Mariah Butler; a step-grandchild; four great-grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today (Sunday) at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral, Barnesville, where services will be 11 a.m. Monday. Burial will be in Calais Cemetery.
