Kenneth Eugene Leingang
LEINGANG, Kenneth Eugene ? Age 72, of Roseburg, Oregon, passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2005, at his home. He was born on March 27, 1933, in Mandan, North Dakota, to Florian A. and Eva Marie (Barth) Leingang. Mr. Leingang earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Eastern Washington University and Master of Arts School Administration from the University of California, Cal Poly. He taught high school math and science and was a track, basketball, and football coach in Washington and California. Mr. Leingang later went to administration and became a Principal. He substituted at Roseburg High School last year. Mr. Leingang was in the education field for close to 30 years. On June 13, 1975, in Santa Maria, California, he married Emily Myers. After retiring, Kenneth and family moved to Bend, Oregon, where they resided for 20 years. They moved to Roseburg, Oregon, in 2003. Mr. Leingang was a member of the Elks Lodge and attended St. Joseph Catholic Church. He enjoyed making miniature sailing ships, working in his yard and garden, watching sunsets, walking on the beach and he especially enjoyed taking his grandchildren fishing and to the beach. Survivors include his wife, Emily Leingang of Roseburg, Oregon; children, Pamela White of Redwood City, California; Cynthia Milburn of Santa Maria, California; Kent Leingang of Tacoma, Washington; Keith Leingang of Spanaway, Washington; Paul Wayne Myers of Long Beach, California; Laura Myers-Wagner of Louisville, Colorado; mother, Eva Marie Leingang of Seattle, Washington; sisters, Patricia Schiller of Arroyo Grande, California; and Virginia Bement of Burien, Washington; eight grandchildren, Ashley Myers; Ryan Milburn; Shelby Milburn; Kyler Leingang; Klayton Leingang; Angela Leingang; Kingston Wagner; and Mariah Wagner. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2005, at 2 p.m. in the Littlebrook Clubhouse, Paul Wayne will officiate. Private cremation rites have been held. WILSON?S CHAPEL OF THE ROSES is in charge of arrangements.
