Born on September 8, 1919 in Smith Township, Whitley County, he was the son of Elmer and Elva (Rice) Sible. He was a lifetime resident of Churubusco and attended school in Eel River Township, rural Allen County. On March 1, 1941, he married Blanche M. Freeman in Columbia City. Clarence was both a lifetime general and hog farmer. He was also an avid fisherman. Survivors include his daughter, Judy A. (Harold) Schinbeckler of Churubusco; 6 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Blanche M. Sible and son, Larry L. Sible. Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Sunday, August 29, 2010 at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 30, 2010 at the funeral home with Certified Funeral Celebrant Sharon Brockhaus officiating. Burial will follow at Eel River Cemetery south of Churubusco. Memorials may be given in memory of Mr. Sible to Parkview Whitley Home Health Care and Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
