  [S927] Obituary. DeLUCENAY, Harold "Bud" (Age 88) Passed away on October 1, 2006. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Hazel DeLucenay, of Spokane, WA; by his children: daughter, Terry Ewing of Cascade, MT; son, Eugene N. DeLucenay of Spokane, WA; brothers, Eddie DeLucenay and Eugene DeLucenay, both of Indiana; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Margaret DeLucenay; sister, Helen Gobel; brothers, Richard, Herman, and Earl DeLucenay. Bud was born and raised in Ashley, IN. Following high school, he enlisted in the United States Army, serving overseas in the Aleutian Islands during World War II. Later, he was stationed at Geiger Field in Spokane, during which time he met Hazel Cunningham. He and Hazel were married on December 17, 1945, at St. Anne Catholic Church. Bud worked in construction most of his life except for a brief time that he and the family lived in Utah where he owned a restaurant. They returned to Spokane in 1970. He was a longtime member and usher at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. He was an avid fisherman, loved gardening, and enjoyed sharing the fruits of his garden with family, friends, and neighbors. He gained tremendous pleasure from helping others. Bud was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 6, 2006, at 3:30 PM at HAZEN AND JAEGER FUNERAL HOME, 1306 N. MONROE ST., SPOKANE, WA.
