He loved Woodworking, Gardening, and Barbecuing for his family and friends and playing cards and traveling. He was a Postal Letter Carrier in the Jasper area for 31 years-retired Surviving: his wife of 50 years Alice Theising of Jasper. 2 sons-Steve and his wife Angie Theising of Evansville, and Jeff and his wife Glenda Theising of Jasper 1 daughter-Mrs. Grant (Kathi) Leonard of Jasper. 1 sister-Mrs. John (Helen) Davis of Westfield IN. 5 Grandchildren Mrs. Tristan (Ashley) Stoelb, Steve Theising, Chad Leonard, Mike Theising, and Andy Theising. Preceded in death by 4 brothers-Robert, Cletus, Cleo, and Edward Theising, and 4 sisters-Ardella Schepers, Clara Schroeder, Lucille Verkamp, and Cecelia Theising. Visitation will be held from 1:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Becher & Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. Funeral service will be held at 9:30 A.M. Wednesday November 1, 2006 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper The American Legion Post 147 will conduct the Military Grave Side Rites.
