  [S927] Obituary. Robert Theising Died: Friday, October 29, 2004 Robert F. Theising, 85, Dubois, died at 11:35 p.m. Friday, Oct. 29, 2004, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper. A native of Dubois, born Sept. 24, 1919, he was the son of the late Joseph and Magdelena Kempf Theising. He was an Army veteran of World War II, worked for Ben Adam Farms and retired from Indiana Cabinet Co. in Dubois. He was a member of St. Raphael's Catholic Church and VFW Post 673 in Jasper. He was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Joseph Theising; four sisters, Ardella Schepers, Clara Schroeder, Lucille Verkamp and Cecelia Theising, and three brothers, Cletus, Cleo and Edward Theising. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, the former Alice Verkamp; three sons, John Theising of Birdseye, Mark Theising of Schnellville and Dan Theising of Dubois; six daughters, Linda Reuber, Rita Schroering, Ruth Fritch and Jane Hoffman, all of Jasper, and Mary and Laura Theising, both of Georgetown; a brother, Dennis Theising of Jasper; a sister, Helen Davis of Westfield; 24 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral: Tuesday, Nov. 2, at St. Raphael's Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery. Arrangements: Becher-Kluesner Funeral Home Inc. in Jasper. Prayer vigil: Monday, Nov. 1, at the church.
