Martin passed away Sunday, April 11, 2004, was born July 9, 1932 in Marr, Ohio. After graduating from Ohio State he entered the U.S. Army as a 2nd LT. His assignment as an ROTC Instructor at Alabama Polytechnic Institute (Auburn University) where he met his wife to be. Col. Martin was a Vietnam Veteran. He was preceded in death by a son, Douglas Cameron Martin.Survivors include his wife, Frances Martin of Auburn; son Robert "Bob" (Chrystal) Martin of Mobile; brother, Norman L. Martin of Sardis, OH, and sister, Irene Berger of Hannibal, OH.In lieu of flowers the family respectfully request donations made to your favorite charity.Fredericks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
