He had served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a farmer in Delmont, South Dakota until 1972 and then was a forklift operator for Mueller Lumber Company until retiring in 1989. Donald is survived by his wife, Bernice; children, Dennis (Donna) Stoebner, Davenport; Randy (Vicki) Stoebner, Davenport; Glenn Stoebner, Bettendorf; Gwendolyn (Joseph) Dunne, Blue Grass; six grandchildren, Charlie Erritt, Rock Island, Carrie Gillespie, Davenport, Chris Stoebner, Davenport, Matt German, Virginia Beach, Virginia, Michelle Weber, Davenport, and Travis Stoebner, Davenport; numerous great grandchildren; two brothers Ray Stoebner, Chamberlain, South Dakota and Wally Stoebner, Delmont, South Dakota and a sister, Frances Konrad, Parkston, South Dakota.
