Schaub, age 96, passed away at home on June 30, 2017 surrounded by his family. He was born on March 24, 1921 to Edward and Selina (Plamondon) Schaub. Fred worked 37 years in assembly at TCM in Muskegon. He was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church. Fred served his country in the US Army during WWII. He enjoyed his family, polka music, gardening and working around the house. On October 30, 1948 he married Helena Kolarik and she survives him along with 4 children, Donald Schaub, Gordon (Deana) Schaub, Susan (Elton) Greer and Steven (Karen) Schaub; 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Fred was preceded in death by 9 brothers and 3 sisters. MASS of CHRISTIAN BURIAL will take place 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at St. Thomas Catholic Church (3252 Apple Ave.) with Rev. Fr. Antony Britto presiding. VISITATION with the family will be 5-7PM Monday (7/3/2017) at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Ave. and one hour prior to the mass at church.
