She was 82. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. today, June 8, at Lane Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 6 p.m. today. She was born Sept. 15, 1929, in Glen Ulin, N.D., to Mark and Katherine Ehrman­traut Fitterer. She married Henry E. Samek on Dec. 27, 1949, in Dickinson, N.D. He died Jan. 12, 2005. She was a homemaker. Survivors include a son, Lew of Eugene; a daughter, Linda Cole of Springfield; three brothers, Marcus Fitterer of Renton, Wash., Sylvester Fitterer of Long Beach, Calif., and Alfonse Fitterer of Tuttle, N.D.; four sisters, Minnie Krause and Florence Daugherty, both of Dickinson, N.D., and Maggie Felton and Marian Staton, both of Eugene; seven grand­children; and 14 great-grandchildren. Arrangements by Lane Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in Eugene. Remembrances to St. Peter Catholic Church Youth Group.
