  [S927] Obituary. August 27, 2010 WOOSTER -- Betty Hendrix, 85, of Wooster, died Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2010, at Sycamore Run Nursing Home in Millersburg. She was born Jan. 18, 1925, in Holmes County, to Ernest L. and Vera Marie (Bevington) Yockey. She married Lewis Hendrix on Aug. 7, 1943. He died May 9, 1969. Betty worked for The Wooster Brush Company for 24 years, retiring in 1987. She enjoyed playing bingo, dancing and traveling to Las Vegas. She also enjoyed gardening, mushroom hunting and working in her flower beds. She will be deeply missed by her children, Linda Kosier and Edward (Debra) Hendrix, both of Shreve; a daughter-in-law, Linda of Wooster; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and sisters, Helen Taggert and Patsy Price, both of Wooster. In addition to her husband, Lewis, she was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Hendrix; a grandson, David Scott Kosier; a great-grandson, Gage Schlauch; brothers, Curtis, Dale, Donald and Elmer Yockey; and sisters, Florence Francisco, Mona Yockey and Mary Jane Pitman. Services will be Monday at noon at Roberts Funeral Home, Sherwood Chapel, Wooster, with pastor Eric Fairhurst officiating. Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Wooster.
