  [S927] Obituary. Cecelia M. (Sonnhalter) Bast Age 100 of Canton passed away Sunday afternoon Dec. 6, 2009 in Windsor Medical Center. She was born Jan 10, 1910 in Canton and was the daughter of the late Adam F. and Clementine Sonnhalter. Cecelia retired from Hallie Brothers and Polsky's Department Stores and was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Cecelia was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin in 1984; her son, John Bast in 1992; brothers, Arnold and Joseph Sonnhalter; sisters, Mary Schweitner, Clementine Tissot, Helen Koehn and LaNette Motter. She is survived by a brother, John 'Jack' and Helen Sonnhalter of Canton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Peace church with Msgr. Lewis F. Gaetano as celebrant. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the mass at the church. The funeral procession will form at the church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church 833 39th St. N.W., Canton 44709.
