Elizabeth "Betty" Everett, age 97, passed away on Friday, June 5, 2009. Preceded in death by her husband of 68 years Ernest M. Everett, sisters Mildred Loeffler and Eileen Oden. She is survived by brother, W. Robert Oden; children, Phillip M. Everett of Circleville, Susan Ahern and Dale Everett of Columbus and Shere Everett of Dublin; grandchildren, Meg Brumfield, Suzanne Bandy, Robert MacIvor, Heather Sandahl, Holly and Hannah Everett; and by 17 great-grandchildren. Betty retired from Lazarus after 15 years and was a longtime Memorial Tournament volunteer. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at 2 p.m. at the DEFENBAUGH-WISE-SCHOEDINGER FUNERAL HOME, 151 E. Main St., Circleville. Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service. Interment and graveside service will take place on Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at the Brownsburg cemetery in Brownsburg, Ind. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Nationwide Children's Hospital, Columbus, Oh. or to the charity of choice.
