William B. Catron, 71, of Chillicothe, died 5:35 pm, March 24, 2005, in Westmoreland Place Nursing Home, following a brief illness.
He was born February 17, 1934 in Mason Co., KY to W. W. and Ethel M. Faul Catron. On September 3, 1955 he married Gayle Barbie, who survives.
Also surviving is his son, Brad (Cherie) Catron, of Chillicothe; a son-in-law, Keith Jones, of Chillicothe; five grandchildren, Kevin and Matthew Jones, Gabe and Evan Catron, and David Masters; two sisters, Betty Catron and Pauline Henderson, both of Lexington, KY; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lynn Jones, and a brother, Paxton Catron.
Mr. Catron was a manager for the Modern Laundry Company in Maysville, KY before coming to Chillicothe. He owned/operated Lang's Dry Cleaning from 1963 to 1988 and Lang's Carpet Pro until the time of his death. He attended Salem Community Church and was a member of the Chillicothe Noon Rotary Club, and was very proud of his 40 Year, Perfect Weekly Attendance Award.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 am Tuesday in the Haller Funeral Home, Pastor Mike Cuckler officiating. Graveside services will be held in Washington Baptist Cemetery, Washington, KY at 3:00 pm Tuesday. Friends may call 6-8 pm Monday, and one hour prior to the service, at the Haller Funeral Home.
