Denver Wells
Charles Denver Wells, 76, 157 Warren Ave., Barnesville, died Thursday, Dec. 26, 1996 at Barnesville Hospital. He was born June 8, 1920 in Belmont County, a son of the late Pod and Blanche (Finley) Wells.
He was a retired Street Commissioner for the Village of Barnesville, a member of Wharton's Sportsman's Club, retired from the Barnesville Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the Barnesville Loyal Order of Moose.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers: Herbert, Earl and Don; two sisters, Goldie Clark and Louvenna Wells.
Surviving are his wife, Martha Neuhardt Wells; four sons, Charles, Richard, Frederick, James and Michael, all of Barnesville; two daughters, Patricia Anderson of Barnesville and Sue Morris of Hilliard; three brothers, Jack, Bob and Russell Wells, all of Barnesville; two sisters, Marjorie Wells and Juanita McGlumphy, both of Barnesville, 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Friends were received Sunday at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home where services were held Monday, Dec. 30 at 1 p.m. with M. Gale Yoho officiating. Burial was in Crestview Cemetery, Barnesville.
