Frank A. Christman Sr., age 88, of Miltonsburg-Calais Road Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Wednesday December 4, 2013 at his home. He was born May 29, 1925 at Cailais to the late Samuel and Maggie Goodballet Christman.
He was a retired farmer. He was a protestant by faith. He served in the Army during World War II, and a Lifetime member of Disabled American Veterans of Barnesville.
He is survived by three sons John whom he made his home with, Sam of Stafford and Frank Jr., of Lewisville, two daughters Donna of Sardis and Mary Jo Weber of Cambridge, one sister Edna Long of Batesville, twelve grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, and three step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Josephine Burkhart Christman, son William Flynn, one grandson Bryan Lee Flynn, three brothers, and two sisters.
Friends received from 2 - 8 p.m. Friday December 6, 2013 at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home 100 S. Paul St. Woodsfield, Ohio where Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday December 7, 2013 with Fr. Samuel Soprano officiating. Burial will follow at the Batesville Cemetery in Batesville, Ohio.
