Wayne C. Trapp, 78, of Howe, Ind., died Oct. 7, at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, Ind. He was born in New Castle, Ind., to Andrew J. and Ola (Wallace) Trapp. He married Candice Menkhoff on April 30, 1977, in Fremont. Mrs. Trapp survives. Before retirement, Mr. Trapp was a district manager for Kroger with 36 years of service. A World War II veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, 816th Bomb Squad of the 483rd Bomb Group, he was the recipient of two Purple Hearts and a Victory Air Metal. He was a member of Meridan Sun Lodge F&AM 76, Order of the Eastern Star 251 and La Grange American Legion, Port 215. Also surviving are daughter, Kathryn A. Trapp of Harrisburg, Pa.; son, Andrew B. (Michelle) Trapp of Waynesville; grandchildren, Julia Trapp and Andrew J. Trapp, both of Waynesville; cousin, Myra Davidson of Plainfield, Ind.; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gerald and Malinda Menkhoff of Kennesaw, Ga.; and nieces, Nicole Menkhoff of Arlington, Va.; and Gera Durbin of Lindsay.
