September 22, 2009 Patricia A. Heiney, 82, of 4 Edgemore Drive, Stevens, died Tuesday at Ephrata Manor. Born in China, April 30, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Rev. Norman A. Seese Sr. and Anna Bowman Seese. She taught in the Virginia public school system and later worked as center director of the Pine Grove Head Start in Schuylkill County. She then worked as assistant supervisor at the YWCA Child Enrichment Center, Lancaster, on its initial opening. She also worked at Kiddie Korner Day Care and part-time at the former Zinn's Diner Gift Shop for more than 20 years. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Dr. Norman A. Seese Jr. and Lyman G.; and a sister, Margaret S. Surviving are her husband, the Reverend Joseph H. Heiney; a son, Robert; two daughters, Ann E. and Rebecca S.; four grandchildren; and a sister, Sylvia. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Bethany United Church of Christ, 140 E. Main St., Ephrata, PA 17522, with fellowship following. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
