Kranz, age 87 died Tuesday, March 13, 2001 at a Waunakee nursing home. She was born in Columbus, the daughter of William and Barbara (Burkhart) Lueders. Beatrice attended Columbia Teachers College and taught for two years. She married Harold Kranz in 1934. She is survived by a daughter, Mary (Carl) Wake of Sun Prairie; a son, Donald (Joan) Kranz of McFarland; four grandchildren, Christine Stifter of Janesville, Mari (Kevin) Weisensel of Sun Prairie and Logan and Shelby Kranz of McFarland; three great grandchildren; a sister, Katherin Webster of Michigan; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters, and a brother. A funeral mass was held on March 16 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in East Bristol. The Rev. Michael Rickel officiated the service. Burial was in the church cemetery. Visitation was held on March 15 at Cress Funeral Home, 1310 Emerald Terrace.
