Marian Rose Feathers Mrs. William Feathers Mrs. Marian Rose (Hance) Feathers, 82, of New Castle, Del., passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Saturday, June 13. She was the wife of William J. "Bumper" Feathers. They were married for 34 years.She was born in Tamaqua and resided in the New Castle area since the late 1940s.She worked for the Penn Supermarket, New Castle, during the 1960s as an accountant, and later was employed in the shipping department of the St. Joe's Paper Co. until retiring in 1988. After retiring, she worked for St. Peter's Parish, New Castle, as a bookkeeper.Marian was a member of Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.She enjoyed volunteering at the Bear Library and was the treasurer of the P.R.C.A. Her hobbies included being a very avid reader, gardening, painting and ceramics.Surviving with her husband are her children, Marian George, and her fiance, Edward Price, Mary Palmer and her husband, Kim, Vicki Feathers, Edward Hance, and his life partner, Susie Isenbarger, and Stephen Hance, and his wife, Cheryl; her brother, Edwin L. Minnick; her sister, Kathryn Morris; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.She was also preceded in death by a son, James C. Hance, who died in 1975. Service: At 11 a.m. Thursday, June 18, Krienen Funeral Home, 34 W. Sixth St., New Castle. Interment, private. Call, 10-11 a.m Thursday.
