Obituary - Barnesville Enterprise, October 29, 1986: Michael R. Slevin - Michael R. Slevin, 69, of 316 Erie Road, Vermilion, formerly of Temperanceville and Barnesville, died Monday (Oct. 27, 1986) in Lorain Community Hospital. He was born June 17, 1919, in Temperanceville, son of the late Nicholas and Ella L. Poulton Slevin. Mr. Slevin, a retired employee of the Belmont County Highway Department, was a member of St. Mary?s Church in Temperanceville, and Moose Lodge 1304, Barnesville. Preceding him in death were his first wife, Delores, in 1956 and his second wife Goldie, in 1980. He leaves his daughter, Mrs. Harry (Roberta) Laughlin of Vermillion; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Patricia Carpenter of Quaker City and Mrs. Molly Carpenter of Barnesville; two stepsons, Raymond Ryan of Columbus and Smede Ryan of Plattsburg, N.Y. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Campbell-Plumly Funeral Home, Barnesville, where Rosary devotions will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary?s Church, Temperanceville, with Fr. Charles Mascolino officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary?s Cemetery.
