Lewis E. Christman, 84, of Bucyrus, formerly of the Lewisville area,died at midnight Thursday, June 6, 1968, in Bucyrus Hospital after aseveral week?s illness. Born April 13, 1884, near Monroefield,(Monroe County), he was a son of the late John and Eva PfalzgrafChristman. Mr. Christman was a member of the United Church of Christ,and was a retired farmer. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Fred(Celesta) Welty and Mrs. Fermin (Louise) Bower, of Bucyrus; six sons,Thurman Christman, a Monroe County Commissioner, of Jerusalem, Route2; Lawrence, Robert and Delmar Christman, of Bucyrus; WilbertChristman, of Caledonia, Ohio, and Edward Christman, of Bolivar; onebrother, Sam Christman, of Bethesda; several grandchildren and severalgreat grandchildren. His wife, Anna Claus Christman, died inSeptember, 1962. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at twoo?clock in the Bauer and Turner Funeral Chapel at Woodsfield, withRev. Wilmer Grunwald officiating. Burial was in the Middle ChurchCemetery, near Lewisville, Ohio.
