Margaret was born July 19, 1917 to Johnann and Martha Mohr) Martel in Hosmer, SD. She was married on June 25, 1939 to Edwin Opp. To this union were born three children: Elroy, Darleen and John. Margaret enjoyed sewing, quilting, needlework of all kinds and playing cards. She spent much time tending to her plants and flowers and could often be found in her kitchen baking up a favorite recipe. Grateful for having shared in her life are her daughter, Darleen (Les) Moore of Texas; son, John Opp of Pierre; grandchildren, Patricia Burton of Washington , Paula Sawyer of Texas, Jolene Mattson Friedl of Minnesota, Jennifer Dombovy of Minnesota; and eight great-grandchildren.
