LEO AND VIOLA DAMMEL

Leo Dammel was born October 10, 1915 in Eureka to Jacob and Eva Dammel. He grew
up with six brothers and sisters, Martha Hoffman, Romana Olsen, Lenora Martel,
Sam Dammel, Milton Dammel and Edwin Dammel.
Leo's father was born in Russia on March 15, 1887 and died July 1, 1934. His
mother, Eva, was born in Hosmer on July 8, 1892 and presently resides at the
Lutheran Home in Eureka.
On October 24, 1943, Leo was married to Viola Schock who was born in Ashley,
North Dakota on June 27, 1921. Viola's brothers and sisters include Lydia
Gross, Magdelina Funk, Rose Funk, Fred Schock, Christian Schock and Julius
Schock .
Viola's father, John, was born in Russia on July 23, 1882. He died July 1,
1962. Her mother was born in Ashley on January 6, 1888 and died August 25, 1966.
Leo and Viola had two children, Dennis and Linda.
Dennis was born December 10, 1944 in Eureka. He married Maureen Weber who was
born in Eureka on December 18, 1947. They have two children, Daron, born April
5, 1967, and Mindy, born August 13, 1970.
Linda was born February 7, 1953 in Eureka. She is married to Wayne Potter who
was born May 12, 1954 in Gilman, Wisconsin. They have one son, Erick, born
April 2, 1975.
Leo is a retired painter, and Viola is retired from her housekeeping jobs. They
currently reside in Eureka.
