EDWARD AND ADELINE TESKE
Edward Teske was born January 14, 1907 to Jacob and Louisa (Pfeiffer) Teske.
Jacob was born May 30, 1870 in Bergdorf, South Russia to Frederick and Apolina
(Weist) Teske. On January 20, 1898 Jacob married Louisa, who was born in
Berdorf, South Russia on October 26, 1876 to Johann and Louisa (Leicht)
Pfeiffer. After farming in Russia for two years the Jacob Teskes decided to
come to the United States and arrived in Eureka on April 22, 1900. Jacob was a
foreman for the Milwaukee Railroad for 35 years. Jacob died April 24, 1945 and
Louisa died April 21, 1941. Edward had three brothers, Jacob, Theodore, and
Arthur and two sisters, Mrs. Katharine Kemmet and Mrs. Pauline Otis.
Edward was a Milwaukee Railroad section worker. He married Adeline Hieb on
April 14, 1928. Adeline was born May 1, 1909 to William and Salome (Schaeffer)
Hieb. William was born August 1, 1859 in Neudorf, South Russia and died
February 13, 1932. Mrs. Hieb died on January 21, 1925. The Hieb family came to
the United States in 1895 and lived in Marion, South Dakota for one year then
came to the Eureka area and settled on a farm southeast of Eureka. In 1921 they
moved into Eureka.
Adeline had three brothers, William, Theobald and Emil and five sisters,
Christine Enzi, Maria Enzi, Lydia Maisch, Henritta Kirschenmann and Sarah
Matheisom. They are all deceased.
Edward and Adeline were members of Zion Lutheran Church. Edward died November
2, 1970 and Adeline is making her home at the Good Samaritan Center in Herreid,
South Dakota.
Edward and Adeline were blessed with five children, sixteen grandchildren,
and six great grandchildren.
Marvin was born April 26, 1929 and graduated from Eureka High School in 1947,
he was employed with Red Owl and Safeway Grocery Stores. He married Lillian
Crawford. They had four sons: Gordan, Ronnie, Terry and Mike and one daughter,
Sheila. Three grandchildren: Chad, Melissa and Denise Teske. Marvin died
November 11, 1979 at Grand Coulee, Washington.
Luella was born March 27, 1931 and graduated from Eureka High School in 1949.
Luella has been a life time resident of Eureka and has been employed with
Heilman Drug for 36 years. She married LeRoy Splitt. He is a mechanic at Eureka
Implement. They have three children. Gregory Dean born December 8, 1954 and
graduated from Eureka High and National School of Business. Greg is employed
with NCR at Green Bay, Wisconsin. Greg married Gail Thiele August 30, 1975.
Annette Lynn was born February 9, 1960 and is a 1978 graduate of Eureka High
and a graduate of Northern State. She is married to Darryl Tuttle. They reside
in Fridley, Minnesota, where they are employed. Troy Lee was born on January
19, 1962 and is a 1980 graduate of Eureka High and a graduate of Mitchell
Co-Tech. Troy is married to Judy Mehlhaff and they reside in Avon, South
Dakota, where Troy is employed at Elliots Plumbing and Heating.
El-Nathan was born May 25, 1933 and is a 1951 graduate of Eureka High. He
resides in Hopkins, Minnesota. El is the Vice President of the Independent
Retail Division of Red Owl. El-Nathan is married to Gloria Moldenhauer. They
have two children, Vincent and Mrs. Ed (Sherry) Westby and three grandchildren,
Nathan Teske, Jessica and Nicole Westby.
Victoria was born March 4, 1946 and is a 1964 graduate of Eureka High. She
married Wilbert Forkel August 30, 1964. They own and operate a Reg. Dairy Farm
near Roscoe. They have two children, Patrick and Kristi.
Serena was born July 6, 1948 and is a 1966 graduate of Eureka High. She married
Ralph Jangula January 6, 1968. They reside in Bismarck, North Dakota where
Serena is office manager at Cedrictheel Inc. and Ralph is owner of Dakota
Uniforms. They have three children, Denise, Lisa and Mike. One son, Dean, died
in infancy.

EDWARD AND ADELINE TESKE
