  [S927] Obituary. Virginia C. (Dade) Whitcombage 89 of Louisville, passed away early Sunday morning at St. Joseph Care Center following a recent illness. She was born July 10, 1920 in Canton, the daughter of the late Clemens and Emma (King) Staudt. She graduated from McKinley High School Class of 1938. Virginia attended St. Thomas School of Nursing in Akron. She was a volunteer with the Hospice Program, Julliard Senior Center in Louisville, Meals on Wheels and helped young students with the reading program at the Louisville Schools. Virginia was a long time member of St. Louis Catholic Church. She was an amazing mother and friend. Virginia is survived by her nine children, Catherine (George) Herman of Brookfield, Wis., Cecelia (Earl) Melby of Morgantown, W.Va, George (Jolane) Dade of Sydney, Ohio, Joseph (Cynthia) Dade of Alliance, Elizabeth Dade of Louisville, Victoria (Manuel) Guerra of West Moreland, N.Y., Suzanne Dade of Toledo, Anne (Steven) Westlake of Louisville and Maria (David) Hull of Louisville; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many other friends and relatives including Eileen Staudt of Canton and Patricia Staudt of Illinois. She is preceded in death by husbands, S. George Dade in 1967 and Clyde E. Whitcomb in 1994; four brothers, Father William Staudt, Theodore Staudt, Benedict Staudt and Clemens Staudt; and one sister, Marjorie Staudt-Scheurer.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Louis Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. David Menegay officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Virginia's family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5-8 p.m. at the Paquelet-Falk Funeral Home in Louisville where a prayer and remembrance service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers remember Virginia by doing a good deed, being a good friend, by loving your family or by donating to a charity of your choice.
