Morris Skaggs, 78, of Logan, Ohio formerly of Belmont County, died Friday May 7, 2004 at Hocking Valley Community Hospital, Logan, Ohio. She was born June 3, 1925 in Shadyside, Ohio. A daughter of the late Sanford L. and A. Kathleen Fultz Morris. Martha was a 1943 graduate of Beallsville High School, and retired as an L.P.N. from Arcadia Acres Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by her parents and her late husband Mark Skaggs, who passed away Nov. 11, 1980, stepdaughters Lassie Garrett and Lottie Boyer, stepgrandson Robert E. Garrett and brothers William L., James B., and Robert W. Morris. Surviving Martha are sisters Janalene (Emerson) Kindleberger of Navarre,Ohio and Betty (William) Sturgill of St. Clairsville, Ohio, three stepgrandchildren, 10 Step great grandchildren, 17 Step great-great grandchildren, 2 step great-great-great grand- children. Calling hours are Tuesday 11 a.m. until time of the service at 1 p.m. Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, 204 West Main Street, Logan, Ohio, with Reverend Rick Bennington officiating.
