Rieseck, John H.
Greensburg
John H. Rieseck, 76, of Greensburg, died Wednesday, November 22, 2006, in Select Specialty Hospital, Greensburg. He was born Jan. 4, 1930, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late John A. and Stella Rieseck. Prior to his retirement, John was the founder and 40-year CEO of Irwin Automation Inc. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, of Irwin, Shidle Lodge 601 F&AM; Syria Shriners AAONMS of Pittsburgh; the Lodge Council Chapter Consistory SR Valley of Pittsburgh; and the VFW Post 33, Greensburg. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Howard and Walter Rieseck; and a nephew, Joseph Rieseck. He is survived by his wife, Katherine J. Risher Rieseck; a stepson, the Rev. Alvin (Joyce) Hezlep, of St. Thomas, Pa.; two stepdaughters, Barbara Crissman, of Manor, and Kim (Bill) Peterson, of Knoxville, Tenn.; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Elmer (Peggy) Rieseck, of Pittsburgh; two sisters-in-law: Midge Rieseck, of Beaver Falls, and Marie Rieseck, of Cranberry; four nephews, Raymond, James, Ronald and Charles Rieseck; and two nieces, Rebecca Greenslet and Kathleen Lazarowski. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the BARNHART FUNERAL HOME, 505 E. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, where services will be at 10 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Dr. Thomas St. Clair, officiating. Entombment will follow at St. Clair Cemetery, Hempfield Township. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15205-4620.
