    OBITUARY: Southeast Missourian 29 Jan 1936 MRS HOFFMAN DIES AT FORNFELT; FUNERAL TO BE HELD FRIDAY Special to the Missourian. Fornfelt, Jan 29 -- Mrs. Salome Walter Hoffman, widow of John Hoffman died at 8 am today at the home of her son Louie Hoffman, after a week's illness with influenza. She was 75 years old. Funeral services will be held at 9 am Friday at the Catholic Church in Fornfelt with Rev. B S Groner the paster in charge and internment will be in Lightner cemetery in Illmo. Born in Monroe County, Ohio, March 23 1860, Mrs. Hoffman came to Scott County at the age of 7 and lived the remainder of her life in this county. She was first married in 1879 to Charles Hahn at the ceremony in the Luthern Church at Illmo. In 1892 she was married at New Hamburg to John Hoffman, who died four years ago. They resided here for many years. FOUR DAUGHTERS, 8 SONS She is survived by four daughters, three sons, four sisters, two brothers, and a stepson. The daughters are Mrs. Jacob Uhrhan of New Hamburg, Mrs August Ziegler of Fornfelt, Mrs Henry Rahmoeller of St. Louis, and Mrs Clarence Jackson of Illmo. The sons are Louie Hoffman of Fornfelt, John Hoffman of Cape Girardeau, and Wm. Hoffman of St. Louis, and Pete Hoffman of Illmo is a stepson. The sisters are Mrs Frita Sander of Fornfelt, Mrs Martin Roth of Cape Girardeau, Mrs. Chris Goldmacher of Cape Girardeau. The two brothers are George Walter of Ancell and Louis Walter of St. Louis. She also leaves 31 grandchildren adn 6 great grandchildren. 6 FEB 1936 SIKESTON HERALD Fornfelt -- Funeral services were conducted here Friday morning for Mrs Salome Walter Hoffman, 75, who died at the home of her son Louie Hoffman following a week's illness. Internment was made in the Lightner cemetery at Illmo.
